Cookies notice.
This page explains the cookies and similar storage technologies used on revapple.com and every reference site RevApple publishes. It supplements our Privacy Policy. Effective June 4, 2026.
Short version.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We use a small number of first-party cookies (the ones the site needs to work and to remember your settings) plus aggregated, privacy-preserving analytics. We do not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising or to build reader profiles.
What's actually set.
Strictly necessary (always on):
wordpress_*andwp-settings-*: WordPress session and editor preferences for signed-in editors. Not used for anonymous readers.- Form-protection tokens (CSRF): set when a partner-application, contact, or newsletter form is submitted. Expire with the session.
Preferences:
- UI preferences (e.g. dark mode where offered). Local storage, not third-party.
Analytics:
- Aggregated, IP-truncated, first-party page-view counting. No cross-site tracking, no advertising profile.
Security:
- Cloudflare protection cookies such as
__cf_bm, used to distinguish humans from automated traffic. Required for our DDoS and bot-mitigation layer. See Cloudflare's cookie policy.
Affiliate-network identifiers (set off-site after you click an outbound link):
- When you click an affiliate link, the destination network (e.g. Amazon Associates, CJ Affiliate, Impact, Rakuten, Awin, FlexOffers, Partnerize, eBay Partner Network) may set its own cookie or attach a click identifier. These are governed by the destination's own policies, not ours.
How to manage cookies.
Most modern browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies via settings. Mobile devices typically expose similar controls under privacy / tracking settings.
Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break logins and form submissions. Blocking preference cookies is benign.
When this changes.
We will update this Notice when our cookie usage materially changes. The "Effective" date above reflects the most recent revision. Questions: use the contact form (topic: Privacy).
