Legal · Terms

Terms of use.

These Terms govern your access to and use of revapple.com, every reference site RevApple publishes, our newsletters, and any other property published by RevApple, LLC ("the Sites"). By using the Sites you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Sites. Effective June 4, 2026.

§ 01 · Eligibility

Who may use the Sites.

The Sites are intended for users 13 and older (16 in the EU/UK). If you use the Sites on behalf of an employer or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, in which case "you" refers to that entity.

§ 02 · Editorial content

What you can rely on, and what you can't.

RevApple publishes editorial reference material on industrial and energy topics. We invest in accuracy (see our Editorial Standards), but the content is provided for general information only. It does not constitute professional engineering, legal, financial, regulatory, or tax advice. Specifications, prices, and product details change. Before relying on any information for a procurement, design, or compliance decision, confirm with the original source and a qualified professional.

RevApple makes no warranty that any product, service, or installer described on the Sites will meet your particular requirements or be suitable for your application. The decision to specify, purchase, install, or use any product or service is yours.

§ 03 · Affiliate & sponsorship disclosure

Our commercial relationships.

Some links on the Sites are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and complete a qualifying action, RevApple may receive a commission. RevApple is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and other affiliate networks. Affiliate links never affect editorial rankings or recommendations. Sponsored placements are clearly labeled and live outside editorial pages. Full detail in our Affiliate Disclosure.

§ 04 · Intellectual property

Who owns what.

The Sites and their original content, features, and functionality are owned by RevApple, LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual-property laws. "RevApple," the RevApple logo, and the names and logos of every reference site RevApple publishes are trademarks of RevApple, LLC.

You may view, download, and print individual articles for your personal, non-commercial reference use, subject to all proprietary notices remaining intact. You may not (a) reproduce, distribute, republish, modify, or create derivative works from the Sites; (b) use the Sites to train machine-learning models or generative-AI systems without prior written permission from RevApple; (c) scrape, harvest, or programmatically extract substantial portions of the Sites; or (d) use the Sites for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission.

Permitted citation. Brief quotation with attribution and a working link to the original page is welcomed and considered fair use. Substantial reproduction requires written permission.

AI/LLM training restriction. Use of the Sites or any portion thereof as input to train, fine-tune, or improve any large language model, generative-AI system, or similar technology is expressly prohibited without a written license from RevApple, LLC.

§ 05 · User submissions

What happens when you send us something.

If you submit a partner application, contributor pitch, tip, correction, comment, or other content (a "Submission"), you grant RevApple a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, sublicensable license to use, copy, modify, publish, and create derivative works of the Submission in connection with operating the Sites, evaluating partnerships, and exercising editorial discretion. You represent that your Submission is original to you (or you have the necessary rights), does not infringe any third party's rights, and does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or confidential material you are not authorized to disclose.

We are not obligated to respond to, return, or use any Submission. We may decline applications or contributions at our sole discretion.

§ 06 · Acceptable use

What you can't do.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Sites in violation of applicable law or these Terms.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Sites, including via denial-of-service, brute-force, or vulnerability-scanning activity not authorized in writing.
  • Bypass, disable, or otherwise circumvent any access controls, paywalls, or technical protection measures.
  • Scrape, harvest, or use any automated means to collect data from the Sites at a rate not commensurate with ordinary human browsing.
  • Use the Sites or its content to train machine-learning or generative-AI systems without written permission.
  • Transmit malware, spyware, or any other malicious code through the Sites.
  • Use the Sites to send unsolicited commercial messages.

We reserve the right to investigate and respond to any suspected violation, including by blocking IP ranges, removing offending content, terminating accounts where applicable, and cooperating with law-enforcement authorities.

§ 07 · Third-party links & services

When you leave our properties.

The Sites contain links to third-party websites and services. Those links are provided for convenience. RevApple has no control over and accepts no responsibility for third-party content, products, services, terms, or privacy practices. Your dealings with any third party are solely between you and that party.

§ 08 · Disclaimers

"As is" and "as available."

THE SITES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, REVAPPLE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. REVAPPLE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT INFORMATION ON THE SITES IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow disclaimer of implied warranties; those disclaimers may not apply to you.

§ 09 · Limitation of liability

Caps on damages.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL REVAPPLE, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, MEMBERS, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT REVAPPLE WAS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

REVAPPLE'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITES SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID REVAPPLE IN THE PRIOR TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. THE PARTIES AGREE THIS CAP IS A FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENT OF THE BARGAIN.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of certain damages; those limits may not apply to you.

§ 10 · Indemnification

Your obligation to defend us.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RevApple and its officers, directors, employees, members, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your Submissions; (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights; or (d) your use or misuse of the Sites.

§ 11 · DMCA copyright

Copyright complaints.

If you believe content on the Sites infringes your copyright, please follow the notice procedure on our DMCA notice page.

§ 12 · Governing law & disputes

Where and how disputes are resolved.

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Sites are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any legal proceeding shall be the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina. You and RevApple consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Informal resolution first. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at the contact form (topic: Legal) with a description of the dispute and to attempt informal resolution for at least 30 days.

Class-action waiver. Any dispute must be brought individually, not as part of a class, collective, or representative action.

§ 13 · Termination

How either party can stop.

You may stop using the Sites at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Sites, including by blocking IP addresses or removing accounts where applicable, at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including for any violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual-property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, governing law, and these survival provisions) will survive.

§ 14 · Changes to these Terms

Updates.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the affected Sites for at least 14 days. Your continued use of the Sites after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Effective" date at the top of this page always reflects the latest revision.

§ 15 · General

Boilerplate.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Affiliate Disclosure, and any additional posted policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and RevApple regarding the Sites. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign without restriction. Notices to RevApple should be sent to the address in § 16 of the Privacy Policy; notices to you may be sent to the contact information you provided.
